Choose the output for the next step
- Use plain text for messages and fields that should contain readable words without Markdown formatting. Keep link URLs when the recipient needs to visit the sources.
- Use rich text copy for a document or email that should keep headings, emphasis, lists, and tables. Receiving applications can alter styles, so review the pasted result.
- Download HTML for a browser-readable document or an HTML workflow. The export includes UTF-8 metadata and fixed styles; original HTML remains literal text.
- Choose Print / Save as PDF when the next step is sharing a document with stable pages. Select Save as PDF in the browser dialog if your system provides it.
Convert locally and check the result
Open the Markdown Converter, paste the source or select one UTF-8 .md, .markdown, or .txt file up to 2 MiB and 200,000 characters. Review the output mode, then copy or download it.
Code symbols and indentation remain readable. Tables become tab-separated rows in plain text, and images become only their alternative text. Compare important changes using Text Diff.
Clean characters only when necessary
Character cleanup is disabled by default. If copy artifacts cause problems, enable it and review the counts for U+200B, U+2060, U+FEFF, and U+00AD. The source stays unchanged; switching cleanup off restores the uncleaned conversion.
These characters also have legitimate uses. Their presence does not prove AI authorship or a watermark. Cleanup preserves emoji joining and variation characters, language joiners, and bidirectional controls; it does not repair incorrectly decoded text.
Review the print preview
Print the formatted document independently of the selected output tab. Check Chinese fonts, long code lines, table widths, page breaks, and the browser's header and footer settings before saving. Only the converted document is printed.
The tool does not generate DOCX or RTF, fetch remote images, or render math, Mermaid, or MDX. Keep the original Markdown when editing or fidelity matters.
