Processing limits

  • Accepted formats: jpeg, png, webp
  • Maximum file size: 25 MB
  • Maximum image size: 40,000,000 pixels
  • Maximum files: 20
  • Maximum total batch size: 100 MB

Canvas output may remove metadata such as EXIF orientation and camera information.

What does this tool solve?

Crop and scale JPG, PNG, or WebP images in your browser. Choose a ratio or shape and adjust each image's crop selection before downloading individual results or a ZIP. For exact output dimensions, continue with Image Resizer. For another file format, use Image Format Converter; keep PNG when transparency is required.

What examples should you start with?

Crop a batch of profile images

Input
Text
Portraits · circle shape · 1:1 · adjust each crop
Output
Text
A separate transparent PNG for each image

Prepare wide image assets

Input
Text
A photo · rectangle · 16:9
Output
Text
A resizable crop window with a 16:9 output

How does it work?

The browser decodes each image locally and draws the selected source area to Canvas. Drag inside the crop frame to move it, or drag an edge or corner to resize it; keyboard users can move or resize the frame with arrow keys.

Rectangles and rounded crops can use free, original, square, 4:3, 3:2, or 16:9 proportions. Circle, heart, and star masks use a square crop; transparent shape results are exported as PNG.

While you drag or adjust the crop selection, the canvas shows the original image and selection boundary. Release the pointer or finish keyboard adjustment to view the generated crop. Each image keeps its own crop selection.

What are the edge cases and limits?

  • JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 25 MB each are supported; a batch can contain up to 20 images and 100 MB total.
  • Inputs and outputs are limited to 40 megapixels. Larger output scales are rejected before Canvas allocation.
  • Canvas output may remove EXIF metadata. Circle and decorative shape masks require transparent output and therefore use PNG.
